Lengthening Mascaras I love!

Caring for your Scalp

Benefit Roller Lash – I’ve been using this mascara for years! To me, it’s just a classic “everything you want and nothing you don’t” kind of mascara. It lengthens, thickens, and always leaves my lashes looking clean and even after I’m finished applying it. No clumps, no fall out onto your cheeks, etc. It can dry out a bit quick, but beyond that, I have zero complaints.

Lancome Lash Idole – This mascara has replaced my daily use of Roller Lash. It’s incredibly lengthening, thickening, and somehow manages to flare out my lashes in the prettiest way. I am completely sold on this mascara and have worn it nearly every day since I first tried it.

Maybelline Sky High – This mascara went viral on TikTok and I see why. It’s one of the best drugstore mascaras I’ve used when it comes to a lengthening formula. It doesn’t add much thickness, though, so keep that in mind. If you are looking for really long lashes with zero clumps or flakes, this is a great option for you!

A few other mascara-related tips for lashes since I’m sure you’re aware my life goal is to try to have long, full, curled lashes 😉 :

Using a lash serum is a simple and easy way to support healthy, strong, longer lashes. I’ve used a few over the years and would highly recommend both Grande Cosmetics lash serum, as well as Neulash. I’ve seen great results from both.

I’ve been using the Grande Cosmetics Leave-in Lash Conditioner for several months and believe it has contributed to the overall health of my lashes! They are soft and feel stronger. I notice a lot less lash fall out since I started using this.

Lastly, I’m a big fan of lash lifts. They help my otherwise straight lashes have a curl that lasts for weeks! You can read about my experience with lash lifts here!

If mascara isn’t your thing, try a DIY lash extension. You can read about my experience here!

Hi Kate! When it comes to lash lifts, do you still use an eyelash curler after? I have similar coloring to you so my lashes are pretty thin and fair. However I find that I get good results curling them twice… once before mascara and once after the mascara has dried. Do you think the lash lift provides much different results than that? Also try out benefit they’re real mascara… my fav for years! Zero clump and just so so good! Take care! 🙂

I’m a stay at home mom so I usually don’t do much more than mascara, a brightening eye cream and either Supergoop Glow screen or the Becca blurring powder. I’ve been using Roller Lash for years thanks to you! I can’t live without mascara!! I’m definitely going to try the new Lancôme mascara when I need a new tube though!

What do you like better? The Roller Lash or Sky High?

Hi Kate! I currently own the Sky High and love the formula, but I CANNOT get the hang of that flimsy little silicone applicator. What am I doing wrong?? Honestly I usually avoid mascaras that have them because I always struggle with them. Even when I swipe some of the product off before I use it, it still deposits way too much at the base of my lashes and I can’t get it combed through. I do have really long lashes (like, Lauren-long), so maybe that’s it? I would love a quick demo/explanation of the different mascara wands! Thanks for being you – I love every side of your online self (but especially sassy, sarcastic Kate 😉
