Anyone else wish the above photo was their view right now? Was that a collective “YES” I just heard?

February has been rainy and cold, and it’s been heartbreaking to watch the severe weather cause so much destruction in certain places of our country. Sometimes it just feels like the hits keep coming…

I’m looking forward to the weekend, though. Our forecast is calling for sun so I’m hoping to see that great ball of fire in the sky at some point over the next few days.

This week was a little off because I was battling a website hack behind the scenes. I am sorry if you were redirected to a spammy CBD gummy site with Dr. Oz and Megan Kelly. That was the hack, but as of this morning, it seems to be resolved. As always, if something looks a little sketchy it’s very likely not affiliated with me so don’t ever click on something you aren’t sure about.

That said, in case this site or even my Instagram account is ever compromised, you can find me in a few other places. You can follow the Facebook page here!

Here are a few links + loves from the last week:

Love the color of this Tory Burch bag!

A pretty tie-dye maxi dress.

I love the studs and slight platform on these sandals!

Did you know you could find a few things from Madewell on Amazon? I love their 10” High Rise skinny jeans and they have them on Amazon!

This looks like a great basic tank for under $15!

Items Mentioned on IG stories:

Black Girl Magic Red Wine – I listened to the  “How I Built This” podcast with the sisters who started this wine company. It was fascinating, I highly recommend taking the time to listen to it!

Shani Darden Retinol Reform – My mind is blown about how well this product is working for me so far. I found it via Anna Mae Groves @annamaegroves on Instagram

Biossance Squalane + Phyto Retinol Serum – This was the plant-based retinol alternative I used a few years ago. Worked beautifully!

Elisabeth Ashlie Erin Earrings

Miranda Frye Ansley Studs – You can use code “smallthings10” to get 10% off and free shipping (on anything, not just these earrings!)

Corkcicle + Rifle Paper Co. mug

Amazon joggers – so comfy and a nice thickness too!

My favorite robe (Pima)

This week’s sponsored discounts:

Loopy Cases: Use my code smallthings10 for 10% off.

Miranda Frye Jewelry: SMALLTHINGS10 for 10% off plus free shipping!

Fit Track: Use code K820 for 20% off

Q&A from Monday’s Question Box on Instagram Stories:

Do you use eucalyptus in your shower? I don’t but my sister does!

Any retinol alternatives? The only other product I’ve had a decent amount of time testing is the Biossance Squalane + Phyto Retinol Serum. I otherwise haven’t tried anything else for a long-lasting amount of time.

Current favorite mascara? Right now it’s lash idole! I didn’t think you could beat Roller Lash but this mascara may have taken the top spot on my list!

When do you listen to podcasts? Usually when I’m getting ready or when I’m alone in the car.

Do you have any advice about having a c-section? Yes! Read this post to hear all about it!

Best cuticle remover? The Julep vanish is gone! I’m so sad! I haven’t found a product that dissolves cuticles as well as that one!

Were you a “work out at home” person before COVID? No, I loved going to Burn Boot Camp. But I’m fully committed to the Peloton bike + other classes on the app for my fitness.

How do you remove makeup, specifically mascara? I use a lot of water on a cotton pad and press down on each eye for a few seconds. My lashes aren’t strong, so the more I can loosen the mascara before using the remover, the better.

If Instagram quit tomorrow, what would you do for a job? I’d still be a digital content creator 🙂

Best medium coverage foundation? Read this post to see my favorites!

In your stories you have a rug that lays on top of your carpet…I think it’s where your peloton bike is.
How do you keep your area rug from not moving or bunching up?
Thank you so much… love your stories!!

It’s not in a high traffic area so it doesn’t really budge! But, in the past, I’ve nailed rugs through carpet to keep them put 🙂
