A Few Favorite Vegetable Toppings + Recipes

What does Self-Care Mean to You?

Are you trying to eat a bit healthier in the new year? If you want to spice up your vegetables a bit, here are a few recipes I’d recommend, or just easy toppings to liven up an otherwise boring veggie.

Smitten Kitchen Almond Pesto is fantastic on beans, and would also be great on asparagus!

I’ve had a few Home Chef meals with recipes for “Everything but the Bagel” green beans, and it was a delicious topping that added a bunch of flavor.

I picked up some lemon-infused olive oil to drizzle on green beans or asparagus that I roast in the oven and it’s a perfect addition of a subtle flavor to the vegetable!

Roasted garlic salt would also be a nice addition to potatoes, beans, or even broccoli.

I keep meaning to remake the herb/garlic butter from this Damn Delicious recipe but I couldn’t find time this last month. Turns out I spent all my time making caramels! It’s on my list to make for this month. It’s packed with flavor and so good on steaks or potatoes.

Ranch seasoning (the kind that comes in the packet) is also delicious sprinkled on green beans. They even sell it in the jar.
