The Screened in Porch Refresh

I know it’s November, but we still have plenty of mild days ahead to enjoy our screened in porch, especially with the updated furniture we just added.

If you want to see a video walk through, find it on my Reels page of Instagram.

When we bought this home, the sellers left the furniture they had on the screened in porch. I didn’t love it, but I also didn’t hate it. I thought, “hey, one less room to buy furniture for” so we kept it.

This was the original furniture that was on the porch:

Eventually, after several rounds of washing the furniture covers, and telling the kids to stop peeling at the already peeling side table, I thought it was time to find some furniture that fit the space better so we could use it!

I found the set, Lakeside 5-Piece Patio Seating Set, online at Costco (similar). It shipped fast and all that needed assembly was the nesting coffee tables. It came together really quickly and I was so pleased once we put it all in the space.

The set is pretty simple, so I knew I would need to add some character with texture and greenery. I found a pretty outdoor rug on Wayfair, and added some pillows from Target and Pottery Barn. I also pulled the faux fiddle leaf fig out of my attic that I had from the old house!

I replaced the nesting coffee table with this outdoor coffee table from Lulu and Georgia (similar). I also bought this chair to round out the conversation area, but I’m still waiting on it to ship!

A few strategic swaps and details warmed up the porch really nicely.

Overall, I’m so happy with this space. It’s warm and inviting, but still feels clean and airy. It has already served us so much more than the other furniture did, and I’m glad to have a space that we can enjoy most of the year!

A similar furniture set is this one from Overstock. It’s currently on sale at the time of posting this.
