Makeup for a Fresh, Spring Glow + The Sephora Spring Savings Event Info!

I normally publish links + loves on Fridays but I couldn’t swing it this past week. It was a busy work week and then Friday was spent prepping for Justin’s birthday on Saturday! He got to grab a “socially distanced” breakfast with a friend, played golf, and then he and I ate PF Changs carry out for dinner. It was a very low key birthday but our options were severely limited since so much is still closed around us.

Strawberries are starting to pop up on street corners here from local farms, and while picking doesn’t seem to be available at my usual spot, we can still go pick up a pre-picked basket of fresh berries. I want to make fruit salsa for the kids!

We love Hanna Andersson pj’s for clothes for the kids. The quality is amazing and I’m always so pleased with how well they hold up being washed over and over again.

Triple Berry Muffins are some of my favorite homemade muffins to make!

More often than not I wear sneakers when I’m playing outside with the kids. These New Balance ones look like a great option to pair with spring and summer outfits.

I made Justin a Key Lime Pie (with regular limes) for his birthday on Saturday! I’ve made this pie a handful of times and it’s always delicious! I had a little trouble with the crust this time around because I wound up with a ton of extra graham cracker afterward. It seems I used too many graham cracker crumbles and therefore didn’t have enough butter to hold the crust together. Anyway, the pie is delicious if you are craving it, even made with regular limes.

A pretty layering necklace.

I ordered these sandals from Target to replace a very, very worn-out pair I’ve had for a few years. I love the very slight heel and detail around the bottom of the shoe. These will be my “wear with anything in the summer” sandals for sure.

I’m loving the addition of a quilted handbag to any outfit because it dresses it up a bit.

I needed a shelf to fill an empty wall in my kitchen and my mom found this one for me. I had ordered one from Pottery Barn that ended up being way too big, but this shelf is a perfect size. It ties into the lighting over the island so well too!

My mom kindly shipped my sister and I the newest Magnolia cookbook. I flipped through it from cover to cover already and found so many things I want to make from it!

I’ve been wearing Essie Gel Couture in Model Citizen on my nails and love the purple/pink shade.

I hope you have a nice week!

Good Morning Kate,
A little off topic for this post, but curious if you are still liking the Revolution Pro Contour and Highlighter you mentioned recently? I know your fave is the Charlotte Tilbury but I just am not ready to take that $$ plunge. Do you feel that the “light” color of the Revolution Pro is a good one to try? Similar skin coloring to yours. Stay safe and healthy !!! It’s on sale at Ulta right now so I was thinking of trying it.

Love fresh strawberries! We had a local strawberry field where you could pick them by the bucket but it closed its doors last year. I hope we can find a new place.

I have been stalking that shelving system and was literally just staring at the wall I was imagining it on when I read your blog post. Meant to be!
What finish did you choose?

Would you ever do a post on toddler hair? Need some recommendations for types of hair elastics that might work for my little girl! She pulls out the clear plastic ones that hold the hair great and lots of little hairs get pulled out in the process. What else might work?

Any tips for keeping the gel couture shiny? I *love* it, but my freshly painted polish is looking dull after a few days. I reapplied the topcoat, but it still doesn’t look as good. Is this just inevitable with all of the handwashing and moisturizing these days?
