3 Small Ways to Shift into Fall Mode with your Style

Timeless Bags for Fall & Winter

It takes the South a long time to really “feel” like fall. We sit in the ’80s for most of October and, in fact, I remember a few very warm Halloween evenings where my kids were sweating in their costumes!

That is a wildly different experience than my own childhood in Illinois where I often had to cover my costume with my winter jacket.

Anyway, if you aren’t quite ready to switch your wardrobe over to Fall, here are 3 ways to subtly nod to the season change.

Coin pendant necklaces are an easy way to dress up a simple plain t-shirt or even a fancier dress. I love Mara’s round-up of coin necklaces here! I found myself preferring a pendant necklace that wasn’t quite so similar to an actual coin, and this option from Madewell was the perfect find.

I love a bright orange-y manicure in the summer, but come Fall I want muted tones on my nails. I still feel very far away from dark grey nails but a soft, sheer pink or cream is right up my alley. Essie’s Gel Couture in Fairy Tailor is my go-to when I polish my nails at home. By the way, read this post for a successful home manicure!

A leopard belt can be thrown on with jeans and a tee, or even jean shorts and a tee! Animal print is big this Fall and a belt is a subtle way to join in on the trend!

Coin pendant necklaces are so pretty! Weird I’ve never worn one before, but I gotta go find one now. I’m also loving orange tones this summer and fall! ❤️✨

That leopard print belt is gorgeous!! I’ve not been a fan of leopard print when it was trendy but now I’m slightly beginning to love it. Maybe it’s growing on me!!
