One Piece, Three Ways : Paperbag Waist Pants

next
A few Home Favorites I found on Amazon

I first dipped my toe into the waters of wider leg pants with a linen pair from Target that were so very comfortable. I hesitated with wide legs since my lower half is the larger part of my body, but I found them to accentuate my smaller waist and ultimately be quite flattering!

I wanted to find a cropped version, though, and I finally found a great pair that is comfortable, versatile, and flattering. I didn’t want a wide or straight leg all the way down, but I also didn’t want them to gather too tight around the calf either. These Paperbag Waist Pants from Madewell are a dream and I’m sharing 3 different ways to wear them in today’s post.

Option One: Date Night

This was the easiest outfit to put together since it was black on black. I love that it’s a non-dress option for date night that could also work at the office with a nice blazer. H&M is a great place to find very low priced camisoles and satin tanks that work beautifully on their own or pair very well with a blazer or sweater.

Option Two: Weekend Ready

I prefer a bit of heel for balance with these pants but sometimes a slide or flat sandal just needs to work! I wanted to create an outfit idea for a more casual day and imagined wearing this while running errands with the kids! A v-neck would be a nice option for the top if you have one but I liked this boxy striped tee and thought it looked balanced but still casual.

Option Three: Business Meeting

This felt the most professional and classic of the outfit options. The ruffles at the shoulders added a touch of fun without taking away any sophistication from the outfit. My exact top is sold out but I found very similar options that I linked to below.

If you are looking for a similar but lower priced option for these pants, try these from the Prolouge line at Target!

I bought and Target version and after 4 wears the material came apart on the inside thigh. Not at the seam, just the linen material itself so it wasn’t possible to mend. πŸ™

You’ve probably mentioned this somewhere already, but what size are you in the paperbag waist pant? We are very similar in size and shape so I’m just curious. Love your style and tips SO MUCH!
