A Bronzed, Glowing Makeup Look with Sephora

Bring on SUMMER! I’m kidding.

Kind of.

I am so ready for sunshine and warmth, but summer here in North Carolina lasts forever so I truly don’t want it to start TOO early.

The great news is I can fake a summer glowing bronzy makeup look thanks to a bunch of products from Sephora. I got my hands on the newly released Anastasia DIPBROW gel and dang it I have another brow product that I can’t live without now.

You can watch a video tutorial that walks through this makeup look below, but I just want to quickly mention that if you aren’t signed up as a Beauty Insider member at Sephora, you can do that by clicking here. It doesn’t cost anything, and there is no obligation to buy anything, you simply get to be a part of a program that offers discounts, promotions, and other benefits at Sephora.

Back to the makeup look, I kept the eyeshadow really simple by just using 1 shade of the Bobbi brown eyeshadow crayon in nude beach. I also did a very thin line of Kat Von D eyeliner in Mad Max Brown just at the base of my lashes so the mascara could do all the work of making the eyes pop.

In the video I demonstrated how I mixed together the Nars Super Radiant Booster (it’s limited edition) with the Nars Sheer Glow foundation (I wear shade Salzburg) to create a glowy base to the skin. It’s a pretty way to amp up any glow or reflection in a foundation, and not cover it all just using it as a primer.

My lipstick is Peche by Bite, and it just felt right to top off the glowing makeup look. Since the eyes were kept fairly simple and neutral, I liked the saturated watermelon red shade on the lips!

I love the look, Kate! I think it’s one of my favourites from you. The red lippie just tops it off perfectly! ๐Ÿ™‚

Any chance you could do a brow tutorial? Mine are awful and I feel like no matter what I do to fill them, they still look horrific. Iโ€™m seriously considering microblading, but would definitely appreciate some guidance in the brow department!

I love the red lip! It looks so glamorous! When I think of a red lip I typically think of a Snow White ascetic, but this bronzer look is even better I think!
Thanks for the great tips!

Hello there, this look is adorable! I love the simple and sweet eye, looks very achievable. I just went to purchase the Bobbi Brown stick at Sephora. Unfortunaly, they donโ€™t have that color…in your option what is the next closest color?

You know what, I can’t find it either! I have no clue how that happened. I bought it in store at Sephora less than a month ago! Sorry for the hassle. I’d try Sand Dune, that looks very similar!

Can you recommend a substitute for the Kat Von D eyeliner please? I am unwilling to support a celebrity who is outspoken about supporting anti-vaccination.

You’ve got me HOOKED on Nars Sheer Glow foundation! Best foundation I’ve ever used. So thankful for your recommendation. I also just got the watermelon bronzing lotion and of course I am obsessed with that too. You make the best recommendations. I’m fair skinned with light hair also, so I’m eager to try this eyebrow product.

Hi Kate! Thanks for doing this tutorial. I love this fresh glowing look. I especially like how you keep your eyes very simple. I get overwhelmed when trying to use multiple eye shadow colors. Can you recommend a similar eye shadow to the one you used here at a slightly lower price point? My husband put me on a budget. LOL!Thanks again!

Did you mean Sand Dune for the eye shadow crayon? They don’t have the color you mentioned in the link. Thx!

I can’t find it online or in store anymore, I don’t know how this happened! I just bought it in store a few weeks back! If I find it, I’ll share!

Was curious… there wasn’t a link to the highlighter, and the latest hourglass ambient highlighter comes in different shades, and wasn’t sure if those would look as natural. So a request for a review video on natural looking highlights please! Other vlogs you see on the web are just to bright and fake looking. Love your site!

Sorry about that! I love Luminous Light in Hourglass’ highlighter. I agree so many highlights look WAY too intense–thats a good idea for an upcoming blog post! ๐Ÿ™‚
