Even now as my mom suffers with Alzheimer’s Disease, I am honored to have the roles reversed, and have the opportunity give her baths, help her get dressed, hold her hand crossing the street, and just show her the unconditional love she always gave me and my sister.

I love Mother’s Day because it reminds me to pause and reflect on what it’s like to be a good mom. Even though my children are older, 31 and 21, you never stop being a “Mom” to them.

I love Mother’s day because it’s a chance to celebrate my wonderful mom who was both parents to me and deserves more than a day, but we make the most of it!

That was so sweet of your son! It’s amazing how perceptive they are. My son is 2 and 1/2 and he’s seen me mid-breakdown too and their little hugs and “it’s kkay’s” are just soooo comforting. No matter how sad you are, it just makes your heart leap! I can’t wait to see how my son will be with the brother he has on the way too!

One of the reasons why I love mother’s day is the traditions have continued even as I have grown my own family. We always go out for a Mother’s Day Brunch at a local family restaurant where they know us by name. It’s amazing as I get to celebrate with my Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Mom, Me, and my child. It’s amazing having 5 generations together.

I lost my first pregnancy two weeks ago, and my mom has been the most amazing support to my husband and me. She has been our caregiver in this devastating time, and she deserves a gift like this for Mother’s Day. I had a glimpse of life as a mother, and I know I’ll get to experience it fully some day, but my appreciation for my own mom has increased exponentially in the last few weeks.

I’m especially excited for Mother’s Day this year because my son will get baptized. God is so good and we are so blessed!

After struggling with infertility for 3+ years, Mother’s Day was a sad day for me. We were blessed with a child after those three hard years, and since then, Mother’s Day is pure joy for me, but I always keep in mind the would-be mothers whose arms are still empty, or the mothers whose children were taken from them early. So, Mother’s Day for me is a mirror of what being a mother is all about: moments of beautiful highs along with great heartaches. God bless mothers (and would-be moms) everywhere.

I am excited about this Mothers Day because after 2 years of infertility, I’m am 20+ weeks pregnant with our little girl. It’s nice to be able to celebrate the day with joy not pain. And I’m so grateful for all the mothers in my life – aunts, grandmothers, and friends.

I have been a mother for 23 wonderful years and it just keeps getting better and better. Wishing you many, many more happy mothers days to come.

My oldest just turned 11, and the longer I am a mother, the more I enjoy celebrating all of the moms I know for Mother’s Day. They’ve all helped me become the mom I am!

For a long time I struggled with Mother’s Day. I loved to celebrate my own mom and my sisters, but I couldn’t have children and thought I would never get to be a mom. However, through the amazing gift of adoption, I have my son. He teaches me so much more than I will ever be able to teach him. I am so grateful for him and thank God for bringing him to me.

This year will be my first Mother’s Day! I am thrilled to be celebrating and spending time with my little man and husband.

My baby girl is four months old and this will be my first Mother’s Day! I thought having children was just a normal natural part of life and never thought much of it…until I had my daughter! It’s definitely something to be experienced and I cherish every moment I am with her. Yes it’s so so hard, but I’m also so crazy head over heels in love with her!

I grew up not knowing my own mother and not being able to bond with a stepmother. After college it was just another day to me, however I had always dreamed of becoming a mother. Today I have 8-year old twins, a pup, and a husband who have made me so grateful for becoming a mother. I love Mother’s Day! I don’t look at it so much as a celebration of me as a mother, but more of a celebration of my children who made me a mother. I enjoy the cards and pictures my daughter makes me. My husband is in the military and has a very busy schedule. We do not get much family time, but on Mother’s day we spend quality time as a family and get to enjoy the spring weather. I do also enjoy seeing what gift my husband picks out for me. Last year was a giant military grade s-hook to clip on my stroller to hold my bags. Which wasn’t what I was expecting, but has been very useful. 🙂

I enjoy celebrating mothers day because…. I think every mom should be celebrated for what they do for their children – enduring pregnancy and labor, waking up at hours of the night to take care of her children, enduring terrible twos…. and threes, first day of school, to graduating highschool, and everything in between. I’m really loving Mother’s Day as a way to spend quality time with my mother and mother-in-law. The last few years I’ve gifted them an experience that I get to do with them. Last year we did a Paint Nite event and this year we’ll be doing a 5 course High Tea event.

Being a mother is the greatest privilege I’ve ever been entrusted with. My husband (who helped me create these wonderful gifts!) and my children are my world.

Mother’s Day is great. We’ve made a tradition past several years by getting together with my mom and mother in law at the park where we got married. We have a pot luck picnic with the whole family. The weather is always beautiful and we get to make fun memories.

I love Mother’s Day because as a single mom for the past year, my kids have been the brightest spots in each and every day. They make you realize what life is really about…Mother’s Day is just the perfect day to celebrate that gift we’ve been given!

What a great idea. I am particularly excited for this Mother’s Day as my mom has recently had a long battle with lymphoma and finally seems to be in remission. I am so excited to share this day with her and celebrate her health and recovery.

I love being a mom more than anything. Having two boys has been the biggest challenge and the biggest reward in my life. Now that they are older the relationship that I have with each of them is so special and full of meaning. My little one turns the BIG ONE years old this Friday. I am completely nostalgic right now. Recalling all of the ins and outs of my first (and last) pregnancy, 9 weeks of bedrest, gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. It was all worth it and I’d do it again for him. To me Mother’s Day is simple and beautiful. I celebrated my first Mother’s Day last year with a 2 week-old and cried the entire day. All the feels. I have celebrated my mother for 37 years and now she in turn, celebrates me. It’s the most profound and wonderful thing I’ve ever experienced and I know I will be grateful for this moment each and every year.

I have the sweetest little mama in the world, and I love spending time with her. She always makes me feel like I’m so special and I’m thankful for her example in my life!

Growing up, I knew I had a mother but I definitely did not have a Momma. I was raised by my grandparents and lacked a lot of the stability that “normal” kids have. Becoming a Mommy was a new and wonderful experience for me. I don’t have traditions that were passed down, or first hand knowledge about what I’m doing, but I strive every day to be the best version of myself that I can be for both my kiddo, my hubby and myself. Next month, after six years of waiting, we are adding a brother to our little family. I am so overwhelmed with the many blessings the Lord has given me. Whether a complicated relationship, or one where your mom is your best friend, mom’s put so much effort into their role and I think it’s great that we have a day to show appreciation for a remember all the things that these awesome women do.

Mother’s Day is bittersweet for our family this year. Last summer, we lost my husband’s mother to an aggressive cancer. Then, shortly after that I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Mutiple Sclerosis. As much as I want to celebrate being a mother to two sweet boys, I want to celebrate my mother in laws memory. I can’t imagine how hard this day will be for my husband. I don’t want to draw to much attention to myself, I feel like this year I should just sit back a little. Having MS now, makes me slow down and try to cherish each moment. I never know when these active moments with my boys will be gone! This year has been so tough for our family. I pray this new year we will finally have some good memories.

So generous – thank you! I love being a mom too. Children are a blessing from the Lord!

I’ve always appreciated my mother, but now, being the mother of a teenage girl I have an extra appreciation for her, seeing she raised 4 girls. mothers day is a day to spoil her and let her know how much she truly means to me now!

My favorite part about Mothers Day is that I am really reminded what beautiful gift x 3 that I have been given. As a homeschool mom to my 3 children now 16,13 & 11 we all spend alot of time together. Seeing each other every day for the whole day has taught us all a patience and love for each other. In the same token , its SO daily that its often easy to forget and not truly “see” the gift of each child. Mothers Day helps me step back and find a fresh way to see the blessing and beauty of my children.

I lost my mom 14 years ago, so it’s a great opportunity to teach my 10 year old son about his Nona.

I love mother’s day especially because it’s the perfect time to recognize my mom for all that she’s done for me and my brother. My dad passed away from cancer when my brother and I were young and my mom has done an amazing job of not only being a mother but a father figure as well. This year my boy/girl twins will be celebrating their 20th birthday on Mother’s Day. My first Mother’s Day was our first full day home from the hospital. I can’t believe they are turning 20. My daughter will be graduating from university on 6/11 and my son will be starting commercial pilot school on 6/13!

I also became a mother four years ago only to find out two years later that I had ovarian cancer and it was a miracle I was even able to conceive in the first place. I love to celebrate Mother’s because it is a great day to remember why mothers are celebrated! Our beautiful babies, and because our mothers are so special and a blessing!

I know it’s cliche, but I love having the reminder to look back on all the things my mother did for me and how I strive to be like her with my own children every day. If only I could have half the strength she possesses from her own life’s trials. I love Mother’s Day, it’s a day to celebrate every person who “Mothers”. Every person deserves to be celebrated.

I do love Mother’s Day and I’m fortunate to be able to usually spend it with my son, who usually devises beautiful landscaping to freshen up the front porch. It’s also a sad day because my other son died, so very bittersweet.

Motherhood is sweet and challenging, a picture of God’s grace and the gospel!

I love Mother’s Day. My mom is such a peaceful, capable, unflappable person. I, however, can be sent into a tailspin by a hangnail (slightly exaggerating, but… you know.)
