$15 and Under Beauty Finds

I don’t think I’ve felt this degree of burnout since a few Augusts ago. I remember just feeling like I was running on fumes and I felt completely apathetic toward things that I otherwise love to do. I think this is the result of a few small personal things as well as just getting to that point of the year.

I feel happy and content, but I think I’m just feeling weary and in need of some rest.

How are you feeling?

I tried a new restaurant over at Fenton this week with my sister. It was essentially a belated birthday dinner since she was out of town for her actual birthday! We went to Superica and I cannot wait to go back. The food was so delicious and the ambiance was fun inside.

My family and I are actually planning on doing a little ice skating over there soon too, which I’m sure the kids will enjoy!

If you happen to be looking for a small addition to a gift, or a stocking stuffer, I rounded up some beauty picks for $15 and under on this post!

I hope you have a restful weekend ahead!

Hi Kate! Just wanted to say I’m feeling some of the same feelings. After chatting with a friend I was reminded of ‘mental load’. I’ve heard the phrase, but it hasn’t really sank in that what I am feeling is definitely a heavy mental load. As a mom of 3 boys most decisions, big and small, are on me. What’s for dinner? Kids are sick, make Dr. appointments. What groceries do we need? Call the dentist. What to get boys for Christmas? What to tell grandparents to get kids for Christmas? Schedule a birthday party. Run errands. Shop for Christmas. Who has practice tonight? Homework?
It’s A LOT. I feel like I’m running on fumes by the end of a normal day, but throw Thanksgiving, a week later a child’s December birthday, Christmas, more Christmas, then a January child’s birthday in the mix and it’s just about all I can handle.
Anyhow, your blog and IG really are such a great resource and I enjoy taking a break from my busy day to look in on your busy day! 😁
