Brush-less Makeup for Spring

Simple Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

This post was sponsored by Nordstrom, all opinions are my own!

On days that I have extra time, I like sitting down and taking a little longer to apply my makeup. I love trying new products, so I tend to change up what makeup I’m wearing pretty regularly!

On days where I don’t have a lot of time, I need fast “apply with my fingers” makeup that I can put on quickly and know it will deliver. For me, skipping the brushes and simply applying products straight out of the tube, or using my fingers to apply or blend is a huge time saver!

I was at Nordstrom recently and picked up a foundation and lip color that I knew would be quick options to throw in my bag for easy makeup days! A consultant helped me color match the base which was really helpful because I was going for the wrong shade! Nordstrom really is a great place to browse for beauty items, not only because of their great selection but also because their consultants are so helpful!

On a quick makeup day,I love wearing a cream eyeshadow from a stick (Goldstone) that I can simply draw on and blend out with my ring finger. I’ll reach for a brown liner that I can swipe right above my lash line and then smudge out with my pinkie finger as well! A few swipes of mascara and that’s about it for the eyes.

For my face, I love the finish and coverage from YSL Touche Eclat All-In-One Glow makeup (shade b 20). It’s medium coverage with a dewy/natural finish so it looks like skin. It doesn’t cover everything, so it still allows your freckles to shine through, if you have them!

I’ve been loving NARS liquid blush for awhile now, and a little dot on both cheeks, blended out in a circular motion is just enough to give me a healthy glow.

For lip color, I like to keep it more on the sheer side when my makeup is quite simple. I’ve played around with this Dior Lacquer Plump Lip Ink (shade 456) for a few weeks now and love how versatile it is. I apply a light coat and leave it just like that on days when I want a wash of color, or I’ll apply it a bit heavier on a day when I want the lipstick to stand out. It feels like a lip stain when it goes on, which I really like, and it doesn’t have the tingly plumping sensation that some products can have despite having the word “plump” in the title! Another favorite for an easy pop of sheer color is Dior Lip Glow in Raspberry!

The only thing I would really need a brush for is setting powder and bronzer, if I chose to apply either of those. But frankly, the YSL Touche Eclat All-In-One Glow is supposed to make your skin glow, so setting it with powder may take away a bit of its glory!

You look beautiful! That lipgloss is so pretty, even the tube is pretty. I love a nice lipgloss tube, it makes me really happy when I pull it out of my purse. Next time you’re roaming around I suggest the Charlotte Tilbury lipliner in pillow talk. It’s the perfect color!
Hope you have a wonderful almost Friday,

No Way! I was going to ask you what you would use for those days when you are in a hurry, or just don’t feel like doing a “perfect” face of makeup. It is getting hot out there and that means I don’t want to put on my regular full coverage foundation. I will have to try this. YOU LOOK GORGEOUS!

Does anyone know if Nordstrom Rack offers this as well? We don’t have a Nordstrom, but do have a Nordstrom Rack.

Thanks!

What is the color that you are using in the plump lip ink? The link doesn’t populate with a color, just the product. TIA!

I apply most things with my fingers, except my blush!! I try to make makeup application as swift as possible, but I bet I can make things look a little better with a bush. That liquid blush looks fabulous!

Love this fresh, effortless makeup, especially for spring. I must admit I’m not a huge fan of applying my base with my fingers but with a beautyblender I can achieve the same result and be out of the door in no time. Happy Sunday! Xx

Love this post!! I usually apply my make up with my hands as I’m always in a rush! Nars liquid blush is a favorite of mine. I am also a big fan Edward Bess highlighter and Victoria Bekham x Estee Lauder also makes a great one that I add by my brow bone.
Going to check out the YSL glow and gloss. Thank you for the suggestions!

After reading this post, I immediately went out and bought the YSL all-in-one glow! Aside from the occasional breakout, my skin doesn’t need too much coverage aside from redness in my cheeks and a bit on my chin. I have to say…the texture of this product blows me away. I LOVE it. It’s really light, and it’s the first product I’ve found that leaves me with good coverage (that’s also buildable) that doesn’t leave a tacky or greasy feel on my face.
That being said, the color selection frustrates me. I use the B20 shade, and it’s a tad too light and pink for me, but the B30 shade is orange on me. If they offered a shade between those two colors then I’d think it was perfect. Sigh.
