We are very happy to share our wonderful news! We told the boys that “mama has a baby in her belly” a few weeks ago and David asked 5-6 times when the baby was going to come out and Luke just made excited and shocked faces the whole time. It was the cutest thing in the world.
We’re grateful that everything has been progressing normally, baby looks healthy, and is growing right on track! I was rather sick the first trimester but thanks to medication and finally getting into the second trimester I’m feeling better.
We’ll have our anatomy ultrasound in December but we will not ask to find out the sex of the baby! We found out with David, and then opted to be surprised with Luke (which was the MOST FUN) so we decided to go that route again with baby #3!
For those who have been reading the blog since before I got pregnant with David, you may remember this post. The agonizing wait for David felt like a million lifetimes, and now it feels like a million lifetimes ago. And now I’ve experienced the flip side, in the most extreme way possible, in 2 very fast pregnancies. With each one I learned of the pregnancy alone (I always want to surprise Justin with the news instead of reading the test together) and it’s been incredibly sweet to be able to soak it in, pray, and thank the Lord for these blessings. I will never take it for granted.
On a lighter note, while I can’t wait to meet this baby and see if it’s a boy or a girl, I’m cherishing my time with my boys! When Luke was born David was only 14 months old (!!!!!), so to have a 4 year old, 3 year old, and newborn will be a whole different ballgame! I may only have ONE CHILD IN DIAPERS!
I have so much more to tell you, but I’ll save that for another post. I’m so glad to be able to share this joy with you!
photos by Jordan Maunder who can work actually miracles because my kids were HYPER during this shoot. Highly recommend her.
