My May Julep box arrived two weeks ago, and let me just tell you it did not disspoint! This month I chose the Classic with a Twist style profile instead of my usual Modern Beauty. I like the option to easily change it up each month!

I was planning on polishing my nails the day this box arrived so I was hoping for a color I liked in the box. Sometimes Julep’s colors are really beautiful in the bottle, but aren’t exactly my style for everyday.

The colors Maddy and Ramona were included and I really like them both! I put Maddy on my toes immediately, but not before giving myself a mini-pedicure first.

I also received the Plie wand which I haven’t used yet. I don’t really struggle with a regular brush but I’m sure I’ll use the wand just to see what it’s like.

One of the perks of subscribing to Julep is to earn points to spend in the secret shop. You can read all about how that works here. I recently threw a couple products in my cart that I had my eye on and it didn’t take long before I qualified them as essentials!

I really liked that this Cuticle Oil was in a rollerball. In the past I’ve used cuticle oil that comes in a nail polish bottle and I found it deposited too much oil. This allows you to control how much product is dispensed and where it goes.

My sister mentioned the Oxygen Treatment a few months ago and I was excited to try it. I wear nail polish almost daily, so on days that I switch colors I try to give my nails a break and do a treatment. This is my go-to these days!

I have never used a cuticle remover that’s as effective as this one. My cuticles practically fell off within 30 seconds of applying a few drops of this. Do you bother taking that step when you polish your nails? If you don’t, you should. It makes a world of difference in how professional your manicure looks as well as keeps the polish from peeling. I especially see a big difference in how long my toe nail polish lasts when I take the time to use a cuticle remover cream.

I’ve mentioned these quick-dry drops before but in case you missed it I had to share again. These are fantastic for encouraging your nails to dry quickly but doesn’t lead to chips like some quick-dry products can. It smells like lavender and would also make for a really nice gift!

I gotta say, just writing this post makes me want to go give myself another manicure! It’s kind of a time-splurge for me right now since nap times are sacred around these parts, but in a way it’s therapeutic since it forces me to slow down.

I can’t say enough great things about Julep. I look forward to it every month, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys nail polish and beauty products.

I received my first box yesterday! One of the products I received was the Peach Bellini blush you mentioned a few months ago. Super excited to try that one!

I’ve really enjoyed my julep subscription too. When you do the oxygen treatment, do you only do one coat?

Kate says · 05.27.14

I usually do 2!

El Ta da! me llama mucho la atención, las gotas secantes son un básico para mi cada ves que me pinto las uñas.

Have you tried their nail and cuticle serum that comes in a silver pen? I love it for the dry climate I live in. 🙂

The Oxygen Treatment is one of my necessities too. I carry it with me every where. I also love the Freedom Polymer Top Coat. I dries in 5 minutes and looks and wears like a gel manicure. Worth the wait for the results! No chips for days!

Did you notice a visible difference with the oxygen treatment? Ive been getting Julep boxes for a couple months now and i love their polish! I feel it lasts longer with fewer chips and it doesnt have the harmful chemicals that other polishes have. But i found with The oxgyen treatment, my nails peeled. It did it everytime I used it.

Strange, I get the opposite results. My nails always used to peel and break, but when I started using the oxygen treatment I felt like the frequency of broken nails and peeling layers stopped.

The Julep boxes are so beautiful!

I love having my nails painted, but find it so hard to stay still long enough for the paint to dry. The quick dry drops sound great!

This may be a silly question but can you buy Julep products without subscribing to the monthly box? I would love some of those drying drops but I’m not sure I want to commit to a monthly box service yet 🙂

Yep, just go to the website and click “shop” !

If you can remember to decline every month, I would sign up for Julep to take advantage of the discount offered to members. A lot of times you can even get your first box for free or for just a penny if you search for a coupon code online. That way you can get a taste by just paying the shipping on your box.

I tried Julep and i hate to say it but i’m not a fan at all. I was not impressed how the nail polish texture changes after a few months.

I got the cuticle remover in May but I’ve been afraid to use it – I’ve never used one before. I know it’s not something I can mess up, but reading this has me excited to try it tonight.

I LOVE the cuticle remover! It works so well! I’ve been waiting for the cuticle pusher to be back in stock so I can use it- I use a cheap-o rubber one that works just fine for now. My May box was my Welcome Box so I missed out on the Plié wand, but I have a 50% off coupon I’ll be using towards it. I’m dying to get my June box!

I just got my Julep Maven box (classic with a twist) late last week. It’s my first time using Julep products, and I was very impressed. I also received “Maddy”, and it is such a fun color!

I just got mine today and love it! I get inevitablychic.com for my accessories and stitchfix.com for my clothes, I’m turning into a subscription box a-holic. Do you think they make a 12 step program?
