The Davines OI is a total game changer!! My stylist is a Davines stylist/salon… All of their products are amazing. She told me that Davines is coming out with a body wash for the OI line -how awesome is that!! I’ve tried the Davines hand cream.. Amazing. I love the OI conditioner and the sea salt spray. My hair has never looked this good. Good bye Paul Mitchell!!

I received the shampoo in my birchbox last month but haven’t gotten around to using it. I’m going to have to do it now and soon.

Ha! Just got my favorites up today as well! I love my Bobbi Brown corrector and concealer, but have been wanting to try others recently. Might need to put the Nars on my Must Buy list.

I have almost all of these products on my “want” list…you are making want to run to the store right now and buy them all! Loved this post.<3

Since I wrote that comment, I have purchased almost every item on your April favorites. I’m loving the Nars concealer, I’m obsessed with the Hourglass blush, and the Color Tattoo is an old favorite I use nearly every day (I love mixing Barely Branded and Bad to the Bronze on my lid). I can’t wait for my Tarte foundation to come in! Thanks for all of the great reviews and recommendations! You’re awesome! <3

You mention them in the video but I’m really hoping for a review soon! The BareMinerals BareSkin… I bought it, I’m using it, but I’m curious of your opinion.

I bought it at Ulta and asked for help with finding my shade and learning how to apply it (I use the original BM loose powder) and the lady told me to stipple the serum on my face… which is totally not correct. Thank goodness for YouTube.

Kate, since you mentioned you’re traveling to NYC soon, it would be really awesome to see a post about how to adjust your makeup routine while traveling. I am going to Europe this summer and need to start thinking about which products and brushes are essential, and which need to stay at home!

Ooh! Yes! I fear it’s too late for me, husband and I are leaving for Hawaii on May 14th, so I won’t be able to reap the benefits of such a post… But it’s been on my mind for a few weeks now, how to pare down my makeup routine to simple basics. I’ve narrowed it down to an under eye concealer (I get “you look so tired” comments every time I don’t cover my dark circles–which aren’t that dark!), blush, eyeliner and mascara. We’re travelling with our 1-year-old, so there are no fancy dinner dates, so I won’t need to have dramatic eyes with eye shadow. And since it’ll be so warm, I don’t want to cover my face with foundation.

I love the hourglass blush! All of these sound like great products! I might have to try some of them out!

I was just at a wedding where I saw a friend whose skin and makeup looked AMAZING!! She uses Jane Iredale products. All natural line and good for your skin. Would love for you to try her foundations some time and give a review. She truly looked lit from within!! Healthy glow!

I bought the blush and I am in love. Between the blush and the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, my skin looks amazing! I have oily skin but somehow with these two products I now just look dewy or like I have a glow. Worth every single penny!

Love, love, LOVE the tarte Amazonian clay airbrush foundation! They were running a great special on the tarte website and after seeing you and essiebutton rave about it I knew I had to give it a try. I’m super in love! Thanks for the recommendation 🙂

Love these products! So, did you know, that at Sephora they have a device that takes a picture of your skin in a couple places and it tells you what your perfect shade is? The gal did it to me the day I bought the Tarte foundation!

LOL I actually included the Tarte powder foundation in my “Products I Couldn’t Live Without” video I put up yesterday. I purchased it off of your recommendation and I’ve been OBSESSED with it ever since! I think it’s going to be even more perfect once it gets hotter out (if that ever happens, I live in WI). So thanks so much for your recommendation! I’m intrigued by some of these other products you mentioned as well. The product junkie in me thanks you, my wallet does not.

Does the Nars concealer work well under the Amazonian foundation. I bought the foundation from your recommendation and love it, but having a hard time deciding what to do for concealer! thanks!

I LOVE that blush! I have been looking for a new one and that color looks light it might be just right for my skin.
Can’t wait to get back to the states where I can just stop by Sephora and pick those kind of things up. I currently live in Puerto Rico but I’m moving home in 2 weeks!! Woot Woot!! (beck to packing now…)

I love these videos!

I’m a huge fan of tarte foundations but haven’t tried this formula. Interested… I love their foundation brushes.

That Maybelline Tattoo shadow? My GRANDMOTHER emailed me about getting it and I did a post about it. Love it. I sent the darker shadow back to her because it was too “cool” for me. Love it. http://kristinwithani.wordpress.com/2014/02/21/more-cream-shadow/

I got a sample of the Davines Oi shampoo and matching conditioner in my last Birchbox and unfortunately they just didn’t work for me. They seemed to leave my hair feeling limp and greasy, but maybe that was just the conditioner? I have bought some other hair products using Birchbox points though, including the leave-in conditioner I’ve been using lately that I absoultely love.
Everything else you mentioned has already been on my wishlist, and now I want to try them even more. Especially the foundation, which I’d love to try for summer. And that blush really is beautiful!

Tarte Foundation is also great for mature skin, too! It’s the only powder foundation I’ve tried that doesn’t settle into fine lines (when used with a primer). I bought it based on your original blog post and LOVE IT! Thank you!

I bought the Tarte Foundation according to your post about loving it. I LOVE It!!!! It feel light but yet gives full coverage! Thank you!!! Ive definitely learned you get what you pay for with make up products. Its worth paying a little more! I love all your advice!

Hey Kate!

This is super random, but have you ever thought about doing a tutorial on how to choose a shade of foundation? Like figuring out if you have cool undertones or warm…I see the shade guides at the stores but are clueless as to what it all means! lol I have no clue what I am doing in this department and could use some help!! Just a suggestion 🙂 Love you btw. You are my favorite blog, style guru, and expert of all things beauty! I also just had a baby in February so I love that I can relate to you there as well! When my bump was gone I was so sad and had such a hard time letting go of that phase of my life as I just loved being pregnant. Anyways I digress…thanks for sharing your life with us. I look forward to your posts each and every day! Congrats to the hubby btw!

I love watching these videos and reading your reviews of products! We have similar coloring, so it makes it really easy for me to try some of the products you talk about. Not every product works as well for me as it does for you, but I’m becoming more adventurous in my makeup routine since I started reading your blog! Thanks for being so willing to share. 🙂

Oh my gosh, Kate, I just got back from Sephora with my Hourglass blush in Luminous Flush. Also now have the Ambient Light Powder in Dim Light. I am forever changed. You are so correct focussing on that descriptive word luminous. Just the lightest application and there is this certain quality to my complexion. Also healthy and just pretty. And I need to say I am 44 years old and far away from my perky early 20s years. I am big into my skin care routine and not into makeup for dramatic or exotic effects. I don’t mind using a lot of products to achieve that natural look. These two products are going to give my face that special boost on even my most casual days. I want to add that I wasn’t expecting to use the same blush color as you but it was by far the best choice. My hair is red/caramel and my skin gets a little pinky. I have to keep my pinks warm. Luminous Flush was just right.

Love your blog!

I have heard so many great reviews about the Tarte “air brush foundation”, it is on my “must have” list. I am not sure which color to order so I am held back until I visit a Sephora store to be sure I do pick the right shade. The hourglass blush is definitely going to have to make it’s way to the “cart” as well. Thanks for sharing.
