New Favorite Lipstick Combo

next
Goals and such (food-related) (not health-related)

I’ve got a new favorite lipstick combo.

It took me such a long time to find a neutral pink lipstick. In fact, it took longer for me to find it than a red lipstick. I run into the issue of it “browning out” on me and making me look a little washed out.

I actually came across my tube of Peony lipstick by Albeit and thought to myself, “if there’s a more nude color I could throw over top of this, that will neutralize it a bit and make it the perfect nude pink.”

It’s a peachy pink that has just the slightest bit of irridecence.

And it happens to look beautiful on top of a matte pink lipstick.

The Albeit shade is a serious long-wear, and the Mac shade adds a hint of shimmer and shine on top of a subtle color.

It’s my new favorite lipstick combo.

It’s essential to try on a neutral/nude pink lipstick at home, or in regular lighting (as opposed to makeup store lighting). It can look very different in various lighting. I’d always recommend bending towards the “slightly too pink” side instead of the “slightly too brown” side too.

The color looks gorgeous on you, but do you have a dupe for the MAC lipstick? I am adamant about using cruelty free cosmetics, and MAC tests on animals.

Revlon can be pretty close to Mac colors sometimes

Thank you for posting this! I too have been looking for a pink neutral and it’s so hard to find! I have very similar coloring to you so this is very helpful.

Love this combination. I have the same problem trying to find a nude shade that doesn’t wash me out.
