Face Masks. Do Them.
Ahem, excuse me?

::taps microphone::

Is this thing on?

Somehow it’s monday morning and I, unfortunately, do not have a post ready for you this morning.

::cue gasp::

I’m sorry. Between packing, cleaning, registering, doing wedding hair (yesterday), and general life stuff, I couldn’t squeeze much writing in this weekend.

So, I’m sad to announce I’ve got nothing fresh, new or exciting today for you.

I will, however, be back tomorrow with the usual weekly blog content, including a giveaway to start things off.

In the meantime, I wrote a few little articles over at Babble if you want to check them out. I chat about embracing your paleness in the summer, my top picks for wedding day beauty products, and even reviewed some mascara that I only partially like.

Today I’m going to be prepping for my online class on Blogging tonight. I’ll be covering some of the mistakes I’ve made along the way, and how you can avoid making the same. There are only a very few amount of spots left, sign up here if you are interested!

Lastly, I’ll leave you with this video that my husband showed me last night. Talk about jaw-dropping. . .

Happy Monday. Be more productive than I was this weekend.

a.) It’s sounds like you’ve been plenty productive to me!

b.) Somehow Filipinos end up with crazy good R&B vocal chords, and I ended up with a musical theatre voice. Where’s my Filipino singing gene?! That kid’s musicality is ridiculous!

Registering in it self is a ton of work. I remember doing it last year Baby was born (1-22-2013). I remember being totally overwhelmed trying to figure out want I wanted even though I came in with a list of products I knew I want but the selection at the store totally took be off guard.

Love that you “embrace the paleness.” I will tan if I give it a chance, but I just don’t care to maintain it, and I know I’ll appreciate it it in later years anyway. So when summer rolls around, I wear shorts and don’t really care how pale someone thinks my legs are!

I too “embrace my paleness”! My girlfriends like to tease me b/c I am the one in the shade with the 80 SPF.. while they are oil’ing up and basking in the sun. Which is just fine with me 🙂

And practicing good boundaries. It’s a good thing.

Also, I love it when bloggers I follow don’t post every day. Frees me up to not feel guilty!

That’s okay you can’t post today because you normally post so regularly. And I was wondering if you have time, could you check out my blog. I just started a couple weeks ago and need some suggestions. Plus, I mention you, and your sister!

This is the link. Thanks, Becky!

I wish more people “embraced the paleness.” I just keep reminding myself that all these super-tan people are going to be jealous of my less-wrinkled face in a decade or two. We rock the SPF at our house. It always gets me upset to see all these overly tan (and sometimes bright red) little kids at the baby pool. I want to scream, “Buy some sunscreen, parents!”

Yay for embracing the pale! I’ll admit to being far too vain to risk sun damage – a few of the older women in my family spent a lot of time “laying out” before the risks of sun damage were so well known and the way it’s aged them is incredible.

I have a request – I adore your hair styles. They’re totally reasonable to do yourself (not always the case, I find, with a lot of tutorials) and the result is always so pretty, put together but not at all fussy. I love them so much that I sent your blog to my sister who has almost exactly the same hair as you.

But I can’t do most of them. 🙁 I have so much hair, it’s so long, that some of my favorites just don’t translate. I was wondering if you’d ever consider borrowing a friend with long hair and doing a few long hair tutorials? I’d love “Kate-hair” inspiration that would work with my hair.

Love your blog (and congrats on the wee one)!

I agree! It would be great to see “Kate-hairstyles” on other types of hair. 🙂

I read your mascara review – bummer. I have been looking for a new drugstore brand mascara for a long time! I really don’t like the plastic wand/brushes, I’m a fan of the old school wirey ones. I’ve been using estee lauder, love it, but can’t afford to keep changing it out every couple of months.

Kate, I’m so frustrated. The Caroline G boutique has not shipped my jewelry, keeps saying “just another week” and now is ignoring my emails 🙁 I love your blog and your awesome people you feature but they have not earned another blog post from you in my book and I thought you should be aware. I’m feeling a bit robbed unless I can at least get a response email. In no way your fault but, I think word of mouth is a big deal and I’ve been extremely nice and patient and my word of mouth for that company is not positive anymore. :/
