Fall Cravings

Great Drugstore Volumizing Shampoo’s

As I’m progressing in my pregnancy, I’m running out of options for wearing my pre pregnancy clothes! I don’t want to stretch too many things out, so I’m grabbing the slightly larger shirts that I have to try to make them work in the mean time.

I’ll probably stick to a few basic staples as far as maternity clothes goes this fall and winter, but I’m really looking forward to changing up the look with different accessories. Maybe I’ll add some color into my shoe wardrobe for a change?

And, as usual, a bold lipstick will help take a plain grey t-shirt from casual to just a little bit trendier and more dressed up.

Make sure you nab a “belly band”… that way the shirts may fit up top but be alittle shorter then you like them, it just helps cover your belly at the bottom and gives alittle “layered” look. May give you a few additional options! 🙂

I’ve been told about the belly band before and I’m trying to avoid it to be honest. I don’t want to be constantly readjusting it as I sit down, you know? I’ve found some long tank tops from Target that do the trick!

I lived in my Target tanks and actually still use them postpartum since they are long and comfy. The Belly band was nice only when I was still wearing my pre-pregnancy pants and I had to undo the button. 🙂 Kate you always look so cute in your styling so I’m sure you will find some great fall maternity looks.

The long tanks from Target are the best!!

KATE! You HAVE to check out Blanqi when you get a chance. NOT the ones ordered on Target, but the ones they sell exclusively on their website. Does the work of a belly band but you don’t have to readjust EVER. xoxo.

I agree with Jennifer about the belly bands. Target has good ones and camis. After 3 kids I had to get all new shoes. My foot grew a whole size and has not gone down, so it wasn’t swelling.

The belly bands only work in early pregnancy (in my opinion). They constantly rode up and drove me nuts! I also stretched out most of my pre-pregnancy jeans….so wear those maternity clothes with pride!

I felt like I didn’t “show” until around week 24. Then the band was not any help for me. I had the hardest time finding a winter coat. I didn’t like any of the options and had a hard time dropping over $100 on it! Wishing you all the best!

LOVE all of these! I wanted to see where the red flats were from but when I clicked the link, it brought me to the purse instead – Where can I find them?!

You have no idea how happy it made me to see that your sweater/shirt up there was from Target! So cute and Target fits my budget! I have a lot of old maternity clothes from previous pregnancies/sharing with a girl friend, but you always wish you had one or two new things! And I’m a month behind you and just had to retire my last pair of pre-pregnancy pants. I can still get them on, but after about an hour they’re making me feel like I can’t breathe.

I really like bag #6… love the pop of coral red. And I am always down for dark nail polish and that navy looks perfect. I’d probably do an accent nail of dark gray with it. Ooh, now I’m getting excited for Fall!

Leggings were my obsession through the last trimester of my winter pregnancy. Talk about comfortable. And you can totally style them up with boots. Though, by like week 35, there was no comfortable in anything anymore. LOL. It’s all so worth it, though!

That bag is SUPER cute… and would go with just about anything. I am in love with crossbody bags these days. It’s so nice to have both hands free.

Hi! I wore all of my tanks and some shirts during my whole pregnancy thinking to myself that I was probably ruining all of my clothes but I’m back to my pre-baby body and they fit just fine! I didn’t love the belly band as much during my pregnancy but it was a lifesaver afterwards so that I could return to my non-maternity jeans faster 🙂

I just bought the Addison Wedge from Sole Society in this color and I’m officially obsessed!! They are so cute and very comfy. Great for transitioning from summer to fall. While I was at it, I got the Vivienne bootie in black too! Love them both! 🙂

Here are some hints (I am someone who was unlucky enough to have to wear maternity clothing at 12 weeks).
1. Ask your friends and coworkers if they have items they are willing to borrow to you. Even though it may not be your style or size you may end up having to wear it simply because it maybe the only thing that fits at the end!

2. Motherhood Maternity is a great cheap place to shop and they are online if you don’t have one close by.

3. Ebay-I bought a lot of stuff for my last pregnancy there.

4. Check out your local goodwill and thrift stores.

Maternity clothing has come a long way since my first pregnancy 11 years ago (thank goodness)!

I have a question. How to do you create those beautiful picture groupings.

I love your fall cravings and I am super excited to order both the shoes and the boots. They are super cute. Thanks for sharing them.
