Covergirl FlipStick Review + a giveaway!

When I first saw advertisements for this COVERGIRLÆ Flipstick lipstick I worried it would be too shimmery. I also thought there was going to be a pretty strong contrast between the colors offered in the tube so I wasn't sure how wearable it was going to be.

Have you tried the COVERGIRLÆ Flipstick? I was pleasantly surprised at the flattering colors.

I'm the kind of girl who likes to apply lipstick in the morning and make it last all day. I use lipstick primer, apply bold shades of lipstick with a brush, and exfoliate my lips on a regular basis to keep them healthy and smooth.

I was also glad to feel this lipstick apply smoothly, and it was actually much more moisturizing than other high end brands of lipstick that I wear. It was shiny and moisturizing but not overly shimmery. And it provided full color that didn't settle into lines.

The lighter side of the shade Whisper was one of the lightest colors of lipstick I've ever worn.

I liked the matte baby pink color and thought it could be a nice change from my usual darker, bolder choices. It also paired beautifully with the grey scarf I was wearing in the photo.

The darker, more mauve shade on the other end of the tube was closer to colors I wear regularly. I just applied it right over the light pink I was wearing to prevent it from being too dark. It went on smoothly and blended in with the lighter pink.

Another way to wear this lipstick would be to apply the darker shade first, then run a few strokes of the lighter color over the center of your top and bottom lip. Rub your lips together to soften both colors, and you'll be left with fuller looking lips! You could also wear the lighter color during the day and add the deeper color for an evening out!

The creaminess, color and impact from both shades on the COVERGIRLÆ Flipstick were impressive. And they have basically done the work for you so you don't have to try to find two coordinating shades.
