I like trying new makeup.
I'm always just waiting to find the "perfect product". Like the "perfect mascara" that makes my eyelashes twice as long, three times as thick, three times as curly, and twice as dark. It's strange I haven't found anything yet with my realistic, and not at all extreme, needs.
I have found foundations I've enjoyed in the past, like Mac Studio Fix Fluid and Bare Escentuals. But none compare to my favorite foundation of all time Arbonne Perfecting Liquid Foundation. I've been using this for the past few months and am so impressed with it.
I have never used a product that I've loved so much. Consistently, it delivers a smooth and flawless finish that blends right in with my skin.
I literally cannot say enough great things about it.
I've tried other high end foundations. Ones that I've heard great reviews about. I tried Laura Mercier, Makeup Forever HD, Benefit, and Pur. On the drugstore end, I've tried Cover Girl, Almay, Revlon, and Jemma Kid (found at Target).
None came even close to the perfection of this foundation. I like it even better than Mac Studio Fix Fluid--the foundation I've always gone back to for years.
I also love the Makeup Primer by Arbonne. I've replaced my Olay Regenerist Serum with it, and love the finish and staying power it gives to my makeup. My new daily "prep my skin for makeup" routine is the Arbonne Makeup Primer all over my face and Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream under my eyes.
Also, my skin has cleared up completely.
Have you tried Arbonne products? Other than the foundation, powder and primer, I've only tried a few sample sizes of their shadows and other cosmetics. I was not a huge fan of the powder. I felt like it settled into lines and made the makeup heavier than I wanted. I set my foundation with a dusting of Mac Studio Fix powder instead of the Arbonne powder.
I will say, Arbonne isn't the cheapest cosmetic and skincare company out there. But I do believe they have quality products--as I've experienced from their foundation and primer.

I have never used Arbonne products before but my mom's best friend has. When she was in the hospital for treatment for her second cancer, I remember her taking the time to prep herself and used Arbonne products. When asking her about it she said they were the best and made her feel great-something that was quite rough to feel while beating cancer for a second time. I have not had the budget to afford it before, but do now and would love a sample.

ReplyDeleteI have heard quite a bit about Arbonne, especially when I lived further south, but I have not tried any of the products. It would be great to finally have a chance to try out this line!
ReplyDeleteArbonne is pretty much all I use for my skin care routine. I used Proactiv for quite a few number of years (around 10!) and then learned all the horrible chemicals they use in their products, as well as how hamful they are to your skin. After going off Proactiv, I switched to the FC5 line and couldn't be happier. It took a good year for my skin to settle back down after going off Proactiv, but my skin is SO MUCH better looking now than it ever has been! And smooth! I also use the FC5 matte powder and would have to disagree about your experience with it--this stuff is so light; you barely notice it's there!

I do use Arbonne, and I love it! My favorite product is the corrective eye Creme, it gets ride of dark circles and any fine lines.

ReplyDeletei LOVE arbonne!! my mom does the business and i am technically a consultant myself, but we love arbonne because it's so NATURAL. almost all cosmetic products are made with mineral oil, which is made from petroleum. yuck. arbonne products never have mineral oil. they even have a line called fc5 which is made from fruits and vegetables - it smells so good and fresh! yay, i'm glad you tried it and love it!

ReplyDeleteThe reason I believe Arbonne has cleared up my skin is that they use Swiss cosmetic standards when formulating....no parabens, pthalates, sulfates, mineral oil, etc. i use all of their RE9 anti aging stuff along with the primer and foundation and my acne is GONE!

I am currently using the new Bare Essentials, and I have noticed that it doesn't blend in with the skin on my nose like the traditional kind does, so I thought using a primer would be what I need to do...would love to give this one a try!

ReplyDeleteI've never heard about Arbonne and would love to learn more. I just turned 40 (gulp) and my skin seriously makes me want to cry. I still break out like I'm 14 even though my dermatologist has had me on products for years and years. Any makeup I've tried seems to melt off my very oily skin.

I've never used a primer before, but heard you should for a lot of reasons. This would be the perfect time to try one out!
