Headbands are a wonderful option for pushing your hair out of your face without always resorting to a ponytail. And the thin headbands are so classic and chic. This tutorial is going to show you how to place a headband so it's pretty but still functional.
It can be done on curly or straight hair, with or without bangs!
The only thing you need for this tutorial is a headband! Mine was a gift from Gussy at Gussy Sews. It's perfectly thin but adorned with a unique and adorable ruffle on one side. If you like what you see, here is where to get it!

I store the headbands we make by placing 1 side of them in a mason jar! It's a great way to see the adornment of the headband and still keep them organized!

ReplyDeleteI don't wear headbands for two reasons..... if metal or plastic, I get horrible headaches (pinches behind the ears) or if elastic, they slide off the back of my head!!! HELP! they are soooo cute and I love the look, but I can't seem to do it!
ReplyDeleteHi Amy -- our headbands are so comfortable, they won't give you a headache {promise!}. Our bands are fabric wrapped and are super lightweight!

ReplyDeleteLove this blog, Kate. I've been an avid reader for over two months now thanks to Pinterest! Can you advise...I'm now using all of your "daily products" and love them, but I am getting a crease at my scalp when I flat iron. I think it has to do with having the uplifting foam in. Not planning to stop using that--it's great, but I've tried holding the iron at different angles and still I get the line or crease. Any advice?

Hi Kate, I just wanted to say a huge thank you. I found your blog this week and sat and watched your hair-styling tutorials. I then followed your advice and for the first time ever have been able to style my hair into a beautiful messy bun, a gorgeous ponytail and a lovely straightened style. Normally I tie my fine, long hair into a simple pony tail as it tends to lose shape and style very quickly.
