I usually do 1 pump for shoulder length hair, and 2 pumps for longer hair and slick it on before I blow dry. Then after the hair is dry (and even after flat ironed), I'll slide another pump over the midshaft-to-ends part of the hair.
Basically, I haven't met a person who doesn't love it. I snatch up samples every time I get my hands on them and give them to my clients to try it. They all love it. I mean it. Not a single person has told me they weren't impressed.
So if you are looking for something for smoothing, finishing, shine, softening, and completely weightless--here you go!

I'm going to buy this ASAP. lol Sounds PERFECT for hot and humid Florida! :)
ReplyDeleteI love redden conditioner but i have yet to try this out. I love the kenra silking stuff

ReplyDeleteI need this product! I just found your blog thanks to Pinterest, I love all your hair tutorials!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great. I'll have to give it a try! Thanks for mentioning it.
ReplyDeleteJust received this yesterday after reading your recommendation and it is AWESOME! I have very thick semi-wavy hair, and today it looks smooth and flat, but doesn't feel like there is any product in it! My husband even noticed, which says a lot!
ReplyDeleteAlatimer: so glad to hear this! :)
ReplyDeleteI have very thick coarse hair and the slim down is fantastic. I actually wash then towel dry my hair then put a few pumps in my hair, avoiding the roots, put it in a high bun to air dry. Then I use a hot tools curling iron to do the curl down method. My hair has never ever looked better. The whole redken real control line is great. Have you tried Terax's products? The conditioner is great but they have a great protein shampoo and leave in drops, which is their leave in conditioner.
ReplyDeleteHi Kate! I was wondering what type of blow dryer you recommend. No matter what I do my hair turns out frizzy when I blow dry my hair.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: see answers here! http://www.thesmallthingsblog.com/p/faq.html
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I bought this on your suggestion and LOVE IT. Very lightweight but provides a nice finished look.
ReplyDeleteAfter trying multiple times to learn how to flat iron my hair, I finally "got it" from your tutorials-thanks so much!!!!
You're a doll!
Thanks for this! I have learned alot from reading your page.
ReplyDeleteDoes this product work out really curly hair too? I have super curly hair and occasionally like to straighten it (with a hair dryer and roll brush, which seems to be the only way I can do it without it getting super frizzy). I'm just looking for some kind of product that will make my hair not so (for lack of a better phrase) "puffy".
